#The talos principle game freezes at startup codeI was just wandering around and noticed a QR code that didn't translate, so just decided to see what it said out of curiosity. #The talos principle game freezes at startup how toIn contrast, this Talos Principle puzzle was the opposite - I wasn't looking at a Star behind a barrier trying to figure out how to get it, getting frustrated over lack of clues. in a lot of games like, say, Myst, you're often confronted with a puzzle that you know you have to solve to progress, and it's just so obscure and ambiguous that it can be really frustrating. Thanks :) It's funny - I actually made a mental note of that puzzle as one I really liked (stored away in my head in case I ever wanted to make a puzzle game sometime, haha yeah right) because I liked the fact that the game led you to the answer, rather than forced you into frustration. I highly recommend Talos Principle to anyone who enjoys a good story and a game that makes them use critical thinking skills, both for completing objectives and for contemplating life’s mysteries, such as why are we conscious and what it means to be human. The tower was a total bitch and it took me probably four hours to beat, but wow after finally reaching the end, after disobeying Elohim and completing the simulation, I finally reached the “real world”. It was time to load a previous save, climb that forbidden tower and give him a piece of my mind. I was pissed! All that time and effort for nothing! The whole time I was being played by Elohim. So I ascended into heaven, only for Elohim to reset my memory and send me back to the very beginning! So finally after solving 100+ increasingly difficult puzzles I did it! I collected all the sigils! Time to ascend to “heaven”, leave that annoying MS DOS deceiver behind and learn the truth. As in I couldn’t think about anything else, just absentmindedly going through the motions at work so I can race home and play for hours. Similar to Bio Shock: Infinite, this was a game for me where the story was so well done that I became obsessed with progressing in order to discover the ending. Not only were the puzzles fun and challenging, but I found myself trying to solve them as fast as possible because I was so engrossed with the story that I just had to find out the “truth” to it all. That’s all I knew about it going in.Īfter being “born” and solving the first few puzzles and being whisked away to exotic places I was hooked pretty quickly. It was recommended to me on this sub and described as a cross between Myst and portal. It’s really the only thing I can say about the Talos Principle.
